Find your part of Southeastern Massachusetts

Our work area splits into four regions, and each one has its own soil, exposure, and mix of properties. Those differences change what a good irrigation or lighting plan looks like. Start with the Plymouth County service area around our home office, the Norfolk County service area on the northern South Shore, or Cape Cod and Barnstable County.

01Plymouth County and the South Shore

This is our home county. Much of the inland stretch around Plymouth, Carver, and Wareham sits on sandy soil that drains fast, so lawns dry out quickly between waterings. Along the coast in Duxbury, Marshfield, and Scituate, wind off the water pushes spray off target and salt air is hard on exposed fixtures and fittings.

02Norfolk County

Our Norfolk County work covers Cohasset and Weymouth, the South Shore towns on either side of Hingham. Cohasset has a rocky shoreline, and ledge near the surface can decide where pipe and lighting cable are able to run. Established yards with mature trees also create shade zones that need less water than open lawn, and those same trees make strong subjects for uplighting.

03Cape Cod and the Islands

Cape Cod soil is mostly sand that holds little water, and much of the Cape sits close to salt water. Many Cape and Islands properties are seasonal or second homes, so owners want systems that run correctly while nobody is there and that get started up and winterized every year.

04Boston and MetroWest

Closer to Boston, yards tend to be smaller, with more patios, beds, and planters than open lawn. Out in MetroWest, suburban lots open up again. Across both, the work leans toward drip lines for planted areas, controllers set to local watering rules, and lighting and outdoor audio for spaces people use in the evening.

Irrigation

Irrigation across the South Shore and Cape Cod

Irrigation is the core of our work in every region we serve, and the regional differences show up in the design. Fast-draining sand on the Cape and around Plymouth and Carver loses water quickly, so zone layout and run times matter more there than on heavier ground, and drip lines keep beds watered without soaking the lawn beside them.

Many Massachusetts towns also limit outdoor watering during dry stretches, and the rules differ from one water supplier to the next. A smart controller or a rain sensor lets a system skip a cycle when rain has already done the job. See our irrigation services for installation, repair, and seasonal care in detail.

Through the seasons

Spring start-ups, mid-season inspections, winterization, and seasonal maintenance plans that keep a working system on a regular schedule of care.

Lighting

Landscape lighting and outdoor lighting for coastal and wooded lots

Low-voltage LED landscape lighting follows the same principles in every town we serve, but the setting changes the plan. A home near the water deals with salt air and wind, so fixture materials and sealed connections matter. A wooded lot inland has tall trees worth uplighting, and often a long driveway or path that goes fully dark at night.

Outdoor lighting covers the practical side: security lighting for driveways, entries, and commercial grounds, plus professional holiday lighting that we design, install, maintain, take down, and store. If your property still runs older halogen fixtures, a halogen-to-LED conversion is part of the same work.

Property first

Mosquito and tick control and outdoor audio in every region

Salt marshes and wetlands along the South Shore and Cape leave standing water near many yards, and wooded edges give ticks cover. We install MistAway mosquito and tick control systems that treat around the property perimeter.

Rainfall is also a certified installer of AmbiSonic and TruAudio luxury outdoor audio systems, including outdoor speakers and subwoofers. A small city patio, a suburban pool area, and a deck facing the water each call for a different speaker plan.

Worth mentioning in your request
  • Woods or brush along the edge of the yard
  • A marsh, pond, or wet low spot nearby
  • Where you sit outside in the evening
  • The patio, pool, or deck you want sound on
