Where we work across Marshfield

Marshfield runs from the North River at the Scituate line down to Green Harbor at the Duxbury line, and we work the whole length of it. That covers the beach neighborhoods of Brant Rock, Ocean Bluff, and Fieldston along Route 139, Rexhame, Sea View, and Marshfield Center, and the wooded roads of Marshfield Hills and North Marshfield.

Duxbury sits between our Kingston office and Marshfield and has its own Duxbury service page. Other nearby towns are on our Plymouth County page.

Watering days

Plan your sprinkler days around the town rule

From May 1 to October 31, the Marshfield Department of Public Works water restriction page says there is no outdoor watering between 9 AM and 5 PM, odd-numbered houses may water only on odd days, even-numbered houses only on even days, and hand-held hoses have no restrictions.

Pick your house number type to see the dates a controller would be set to run. Rules can change, so read the Water Restriction Information page on the Town of Marshfield website before you program anything.

A smart controller can hold your odd or even schedule and start times, and a rain sensor skips a cycle after a storm. Our smart irrigation controller installation covers both.

Irrigation

Irrigation for Marshfield sand, marsh edges, and woods

A Marshfield sprinkler system has to fit the watering window and the ground under it, and that ground changes between the beaches and the hills. Across all three kinds of yard, our irrigation services include new systems, sprinkler repairs, spring start-ups, mid-season inspections, winterization, and seasonal maintenance plans that keep a working system on a regular schedule of care.

  • Beach neighborhoodsYards near Brant Rock, Ocean Bluff, and Green Harbor tend to be sandy and dry out fast, and wind off the water pushes spray off course. Low-angle heads, drip in the beds, and short early-morning cycles get more from each allowed day.
  • Along the marsh and riversLots that back onto salt marsh along the South River or the Green Harbor River can have a low, wet corner beside a dry, raised lawn. Separate zones let the wet edge sit out while the rest of the yard gets its water.
  • Wooded inland lotsIn Marshfield Hills and North Marshfield, tall trees shade parts of the lawn and roots fill the soil. Shaded zones need less water than open sun, and pipe routes have to work around established roots.
Landscape lighting

Landscape lighting built for Marshfield's salt air

Homes near the water in Brant Rock, Ocean Bluff, and Green Harbor take salt air and wind straight off Massachusetts Bay. Salt works on metal fixtures, wire connections, and transformers, so fixture materials and sealed connections matter more here than a few miles inland.

Storm tides have sent waves over the seawall at Brant Rock and left roads underwater, so on a low lot the transformer belongs well up off the ground and away from spots where water collects.

Inland, the tall trees around Marshfield Hills give uplighting plenty to work with, and a long wooded drive is a natural place for path lights. Our landscape lighting work covers low-voltage and LED design and installation, maintenance, repairs, and halogen-to-LED conversions.

Outdoor lighting

Lighting close-set beach streets and wooded drives

Many homes near the beaches sit close together, while inland houses often sit back on dark, wooded drives. Near the shore, security fixtures are aimed at your steps, driveway, and doors without spilling into the house next door. On a wooded lot, the job is lighting the drive and back entry you use after dark.

Our outdoor lighting service includes outdoor security lighting, specialty feature lighting, commercial outdoor lighting, and holiday lighting with commercial-grade LED lights. For the holidays we handle the design, installation, maintenance, removal, and storage.

Ticks

Marsh mosquitoes and woodland ticks

Salt marsh borders much of Marshfield, and marsh and standing water give mosquitoes places to breed close to yards along the rivers. Inland, ticks hide in brush, tall grass, and fallen leaves where a lawn meets the trees, an edge many Marshfield Hills lots share.

Rainfall installs MistAway mosquito and tick control systems, laid out along the marsh or wooded edge next to your patio, play area, or garden.

Outdoor audio

Music on a marsh-view deck

A deck that looks over the marsh or a patio a short walk from the beach is where plenty of summer evenings happen. Speakers built for outdoor use stand up to salt air and weather, and aiming them toward the seating area keeps sound off a close neighbor's porch.

Rainfall is a certified installer of AmbiSonic and TruAudio luxury outdoor audio systems. Our outdoor audio page lists the speaker and subwoofer options.
